Mechanic videos

Here are a few videos to show mechanics in the first draft of my narrative in Twine.

Here is a demonstration of one of the timed macros. Here the player is given options, but if they wait for a specific number of seconds, another appears, giving them another path.

 

Here is a demonstration of the link append macro. This means that the player has to click on each line of text in order to see the next. This adds more player interaction to the less ‘playable’ sections of the narrative, like set conversations.

Here is another demonstration of the time macro, only used differently. Here it is used to add an element of urgency to the game. If the player doesn’t make a decision quick enough they are forced onto another passage.
